Xena and the Xylophone Note

Xena finds the single xylophone note that makes her favorite toy seem to dance.

Xena treated the toy xylophone with suspicion. Its colored bars did nothing until a wooden beater slipped from the table and struck the bright yellow note.

The sound made her spring backward and her pom-pom roll forward. Xena pounced on the pom-pom, nudged the beater, and heard the same note again. Soon the room filled with one-note music and extremely energetic choreography.

No one called it a polished performance, but everyone applauded. Xena took a bow, accidentally struck the yellow bar once more, and began the encore immediately.
